Niti Mahadev or Niti Barfani baba is a swayambhu Shiva temple, that houses 3 natural shiva linga in decreasing heights. It is associated by locals of Niti village as Temple of shiva family, & the 3 linga associated with Lord Shiva, Mother Parvati and their son Lord Ganesha. This is one unique feature of the abode as it is unlike any other in the country as its natural. To add to the mystical divine experience, the linga's have natural oblation wit constant stream of glacial waters from Dhauli Ganga river through salicite rock structures which creates an aura of Mother Ganga flowing through locks of Lord Shiva. In winters from December 3 natural ice linga's form similar to Amarnath cave in Kashmir and hence its also called Niti Barfani baba. It is a uniquely divine experience and a must-visit if you are shiva devotee or just want a blissful experience.

In search of untouched pastures for Ayurveda herbs, Folk traditions and ethnomedicine, I visited the elusive Sahastratal located at 15700 feet in Garhwal Himalayas, Uttarakhand in August 2019. Amidst heavy rains, this as a new route from Kamad village. The traditional routes are stiff climb from either Bhatwari nor Buda Kedar.
The trek itself is not popular due to its length and hardships and hence I decided to create a 2 parts documentary explaining the route and displaying the scenes.
